do you know a narcissist?

Here's how to know if you've been hurt by a narcissist

Something I see over and over in my office is good people hurting because someone’s behavior has been so painful and so confusing.

Often, my clients are suffering from the impact of someone close to them having narcissistic traits or Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

What Exactly Is Narcissism?

Narcissism is extreme self-involvement to the degree that it makes someone ignore the needs of others. Narcissistic behavior can take the form of:

  • Cheating.
  • Inappropriate behavior with another person.
  • Yelling.
  • Raging.
  • Destroying property.
  • Getting intoxicated.
  • Overspending.
  • Spending too much time on social media.

Understanding Narcissistic Behavior

Do you have a partner who is acting narcissistic? I want you to know that it’s not just okay for you to set boundaries around these behaviors—it’s critically important for your own mental health and the health of your relationship.

I strongly believe in educating people on what narcissism is and what it is not.  Who better to explain this to you than the world’s leading expert on narcissism, Dr. Ramani?

And what better forum than an interview with one of my favorite podcasters, Mel Robbins.

How To Set Boundaries In Your Life

Once you know what you’re dealing with, you need to understand that it’s not your fault. You didn’t create the narcissist, and you cannot change the narcissist. So then what?

Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries.

Figure out what you are willing to accept and what you are not. Putting boundaries on the narcissist in your life will make a difference.
